Daniel Diaz

Daniel Diaz (Site Coordinator/Success Coach) started at Alexander Hamilton High School in 2026. In this role, Daniel will be working with students daily, helping to ensure their success and the success of the program. Daniel is aiming to help reach CISLA’s vision and exemplify CISLA’s goals through his hard work and dedication to the students. He is looking to create meaningful connections and relationships with the staff and students, and to help create a sense of community at Alexander Hamilton High School.

Before joining CISLA, Daniel worked for Beyond the Bell and LAUSD for eight years as a Program Supervisor at Abbot Kinney Elementary School, where he fostered and maintained relationships with school staff, program staff, parents, and students. He also led the program in enrichment and academic workshops, as well as annual city-wide events like marathons and food drives. Daniel has also worked for the City of Los Angeles, Department of Recreation and Parks as a Recreation Assistant, where he helps with office work and summer camps, working with kids ages 4-16. Daniel’s time spent working with the youth of Los Angeles has prepared him to empower the students at CISLA and support them throughout their time at Alexander Hamilton High School and beyond. Daniel also has past experience in journalism and reporter roles, where he learned how to have authentic conversations with people centered on the truth.

Daniel earned his B.A. in Journalism from California State University, Dominguez Hills, where he graduated with honors in his major, and his Master’s in Communications Management from the University of Southern California with a specialization in Strategic Communications. In his personal time, Daniel likes to spend time with family, watch movies, and play basketball.
