Ricardo 'Ricky' Ramirez, is the current Site Director of CISLA program at Belmont Senior HS. Belmont Senior HS serves students in and around the Westlake community.
Prior to joining CISLA, Ricky is a proud first generation Latino that attended UCLA and received his B.A. in Psychology. During his time at UCLA, Ricky was heavily involved in the youth and student empowerment sector. In his junior and senior year of college, Ricky interned at the UCLA Bruin Resource Center and worked specifically under the Undocumented Student Programs, serving students and members from the undocumented community. Additionally, all 4 years of college, Ricky was a summer camp counselor with UCLA Unicamp in which served students from underrepresented communities and took students (K-12) to camp for one week during summer.
Ricky is now in his 5th year with CISLA and was previously the CISLA Site Coordinator at Mendez HS. During his time at Mendez HS, Ricky also served as the head coach for the Students Run LA (SRLA) program, something he still actively participates and coaches till this day. In his free time, Ricky appreciates watching sports, collects sneakers, and likes to socialize with his friends and family.
