Sandra Duarte Solis has been a dedicated member of CISLA since 2022, where she brings a strong passion for education, equity, and community empowerment. Prior to joining CISLA, Sandy worked as a Teacher Assistant, where she played a vital role in supporting students academically and emotionally. Her commitment to youth development extended beyond the classroom, she actively promoted youth sports in underserved communities and mentored students navigating the college admissions process.
Sandra is a proud alum of California State University, Northridge (CSUN), where they earned a B.A. in Chicano Studies. Continuing their academic journey and deepening their commitment to social justice and cultural advocacy, she is currently pursuing an M.A. in Chicano Studies at CSUN. With a strong foundation in community work and a deep understanding of cultural identity and educational access, Sandra continues to uplift and inspire the next generation through their work at CISLA.
Outside of work, Sandra enjoys running, playing basketball, and spending time with her husband and two children.
